Business & civic AI · Santa Monica

The data is already public. Almost none of it is legible.

Neza AI is a one-person lab building tools that close that gap — for cities, for businesses, and occasionally for football fans.

A World Cup engine for people who feel football, rather than watch it.

Not a scoreboard. A thing you visit between matches, where the data is turned back into the human story it was hiding. Belief measures the points a squad actually earned against the points its market value should have bought — so a cheap team outrunning its wage bill is visible at a glance. Friendship measures how often a national team's current XI have genuinely started together, and how much of the squad shares a club spine.

    GovIntel

Every contract award by a California public agency is approved in open session and written up in a published staff report. All of it is public. None of it is in one place. GovIntel harvests agenda platforms, warrant registers and staff-report PDFs across Southern California and resolves them into a market map, an incumbent map, and a renewal calendar.

    ManagerIntel

Competitive intelligence on the largest asset managers, built entirely from primary disclosures — EDGAR filings for the public filers, voluntary annual reports for the private ones. A panel of seven across three disclosure regimes, reduced to one comparable data model with the lineage of every figure preserved.

    AI Maturity Score

A diagnostic that used to require a consultant's first meeting, run self-serve on any URL. Three tiers — web foundations, structured data, AI readiness — scored out of 100 with the gaps itemized. Built as a sales tool for a business that no longer exists. Kept because the tool is the interesting part.

Israel Rojas-Moreno

Fourteen years between data and executive decisions — the mayor's offices in Los Angeles and Chicago, IBM's utilities practice, and enterprise analytics and AI strategy at Capital Group. Stanford engineering, Chicago Booth MBA. Board chair at CicLAvia. Santa Monica.

The civic half and the enterprise half are the same job: someone has the information, nobody can act on it, and the work is closing that distance.

On the name. Neza AI takes its name from Nezahualcoyotl (1402–1472), the poet-king of Texcoco — a ruler, philosopher and engineer whose dike protected Tenochtitlan from flooding and whose aqueducts brought the city fresh water. Practical, enduring infrastructure, built so that other people could get on with their lives. Same idea, new medium.

Working together

Neza AI takes a small number of engagements — mostly where an organization holds expertise its own users, constituents or customers can't reach. If that sounds like your problem, say hello.
